Coeur d'Alene Lake Cruise

At the end of the school year the second grade classes get to take a boat cruise on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Janna and I had lots of fun together on this field trip. It may look sunny but it was pretty chilly outside. We stayed inside the boat most of the time but we still got to take in the gorgeous views through the all the big windows.
Here is Janna looking all big and ready for summer and third grade next year!
It was fun meeting her friends from school and we sure enjoyed our girl time!!

Watch Party!!

On Saturday, my friend Leann and I went to a watch party at our friend Krystal's house. At first it was a little overwhelming, there were thousands and thousands of beads to choose from, but once I got the hang of it, I was having a blast!! To all you bead addicts out there, I can totally see it! I didn't ever want to leave!

Here's what I made.
A watch for me, a watch for someone special (no peeking mom!), and a bracelet for Janna.
Thanks Krystal for inviting me, and thanks Wendy for bringing all your beads and creativeness all the way to Coeur d'Alene for us to enjoy!! It was awesome and you'll have to come back soon (:

My choice of music...

My new playlist is a little trip back to high school. I don't currently listen to these songs very often, but I have to say, I love this music. It kind of feels like a nice warm blankie (:

Sounds strange, I know... and some of you may disagree.

But it makes me happy.
Enjoy!

What I did today...

Crayon Roll-up

So I've been in a really creative mood lately and I can't get enough of these crafty blogs I have been looking at. I made a list of all the new things I wanted to try.

This cute little bundle was the first one on the list, mostly because it looked pretty simple and quick to make. I got the idea from this website, she has a great tutorial with pictures and step by step instructions that were super easy to follow.

Grant is going to be so excited so see this fun surprise when he wakes up from his nap!!
Poor little man has been throwing up for the past two days and hasn't been feeling up to doing much. I hope this will put him in the coloring mood (:

Here are some pictures of my project:

The Pumpkin Patch

Here we are at Carver Farms, the local pumpkin patch. Every year the kids look forward to coming to pick out the best pumpkins for their jack-o-lanterns. Sometimes we also get popcorn or homemade caramel apples, yummy!!

Our Trip to Yellowstone August 2009

This was a fun hike we took up to the natural bridge. We got to ride our bikes most of the way, then we hiked up the last little bit. The kids had a blast and it was beautiful!

Fairmont Hot Springs

On the way home from Yellowstone we stopped at Fairmont Hot Springs. I haven't ever been to a hot springs before and I had so much fun! It was like swimming in a giant bathtub, what is better than that? The kids had a blast going down the waterslide and even Cole loved being in the water because it was sooo warm. These pics are of the kids playing at the campground we stayed at while we were there.

Presenting.... Pinocchio!

At the end of the summer, Janna got to participate in a theater camp that one of my very talented young women did for her senior project. Janna had so much fun and loved every minute. At the end of the week, I got to enjoy watching their adorable performance of Pinocchio. All the kids did a great job!

Janna played one of Gepetto's dolls. She didn't have any lines, but I think she was a natural! And, of course, she was so cute in her costume!

Cole's Oreo Adventure

Here is Cole at about 9 months old enjoying a yummy snack of oreos!!

Is he the perfect poster boy or what?

Rub-a-dub! Time to get cleaned up!
